Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment for new and existing product lines.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the development of manufacturing processes and tooling for new and existing product lines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth product launches and minimize production costs.
- Lead process capability studies and implement improvements to increase efficiency and quality.
- Develop and maintain time standards, methods, and processes for direct labor operations.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities and value analysis for existing product lines.
- Review and maintain structural Bills of Material and Engineering bills to ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate deviations from material specifications with corporate design engineering.
- Plan, budget, and justify capital equipment purchases and installations.
- Conduct ergonomic audits and ensure proper ergonomics in workstations, processes, tooling, and safety equipment.
- Supervise Assembly personnel in the absence of the Production Supervisor and handle employee discipline as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing systems, equipment, processes, tooling, work measurement, lean manufacturing concepts, and project management.
- Microsoft software, SAP, or equivalent knowledge.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with all employees.
- CAD/CAM drawing experience and/or training (PRO-E, etc.).
