Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team at Calumet Public School District 132. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing and maintaining the District's student health service program, working closely with staff to accomplish students' IEP goals and medical needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement 504 accommodation plans and student health services
  • Participate in health assistance and medical review
  • Use computer network system and software applications as needed
  • Organize and coordinate work to ensure efficient delivery of services
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
  • Maintain accurate records and submit required state reports
Requirements
  • BSN degree and licensed as a registered professional nurse in the State of Illinois
  • Illinois Professional Educator License with a School Nurse Endorsement
  • IDPH Certification for Vision, Hearing, Spinal Screening Technician preferred
  • Successful prior School Nurse experience for the appropriate grade level preferred
