Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned 2nd Shift Plant Superintendent to oversee our manufacturing operations in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving plant production efficiency, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of regulatory and internal processes, including employee and plant safety, food safety and quality initiatives, HR, and process controls.
- Develop and execute departmental project work aligned with company objectives and goals, leveraging Kaizens, DLMPs, and lean processes to drive efficiency and innovation.
- Collaborate with plant management and cross-functional teams to set direction, accountability, and achieve results, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic vision.
- Drive adherence to all food safety and quality programs, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our products.
- Develop and manage supervisory teams to achieve long-term goals, aligning their work with the company's strategic direction and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Set direct report goals in training and development, performance, and succession planning, ensuring the growth and development of our team members.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of operational/manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, food science, meat science, or a related field.
- HACCP Certification and Lean/Six Sigma Certification are highly desirable.
- Food manufacturing process experience and supervisory/managerial experience are essential.
- Availability to work 2pm-12am and willingness to travel up to 25% locally and/or overnight.
