Responsibilities:- Accurately assign ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to medical diagnoses and procedures based on comprehensive patient records.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify information and resolve coding discrepancies, ensuring optimal documentation support for assigned codes.
- Manage medical billing tasks, including insurance follow-up on outstanding claims, payment posting, and collections activities to maintain accurate financial records.
- Stay abreast of evolving coding guidelines and billing regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mandatory Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential.
- A college degree in a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in medical coding within a healthcare setting.
