About the Role
River City Construction is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Manager to join our industrial projects team. As an Onsite Safety Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees, clients, and the public on our construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Promoting a Safety Culture: Foster a culture of safety within our organization, promoting a proactive approach to risk management and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
- Conducting Safety Audits: Regularly conduct site visits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
- Developing and Implementing Safety Procedures: Collaborate with site leadership to develop and implement effective safety procedures, ensuring that all employees are trained and equipped to perform their duties safely.
- Investigating Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Providing Safety Training: Deliver training and coaching to employees on safety procedures and best practices, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely.
- Building Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and River City employees, promoting a collaborative approach to safety and ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned with our safety culture.
Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in a safety management role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field.
- Certifications: OSHA 30 Hour Construction certification preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
