Job Summary

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care to CCAP clients. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and collaborating with our multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans for CCAP clients
  • Prescribe and manage medications, including medication-assisted treatment
  • Provide follow-up care and stabilization services to clients
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
  • Master of Science in Nursing and current Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification
  • Current DEA and MCSR licenses, as well as DEA Waiver for Medication Assisted Treatment
  • Active or soon eligible nurse practitioner unrestricted license in Rhode Island
  • One year of experience working in a community health center setting, highly desired
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to interact with patients of varied age, ethnicity, and social backgrounds
