Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

The Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner is a key member of our clinical team, responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and follow-up care to our clients. This role requires a strong foundation in psychiatric nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including assessments and treatment plans
- Prescribe and manage medications, including psychotropic medications and medication-assisted treatment
- Provide follow-up care and stabilization services to clients in need of non-emergency psychiatric medical services
- Collaborate with our clinical team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures
- Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus on psychiatric mental health nursing
- Current Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification
- Active or soon-to-be eligible nurse practitioner license in Rhode Island
- One year of experience working in a community health center setting, with a focus on psychiatric mental health nursing
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
