Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team in Loveland, OH. As a SPED teacher, you will be responsible for providing individualized instruction and support to students with diverse needs, helping them succeed academically and socially. You will work closely with students, general education teachers, and families to develop and implement personalized education plans that cater to each student's unique requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the specific needs of each student.
  • Provide one-on-one and group instruction to students with disabilities, promoting their academic growth and social development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, school staff, and families to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing assessments to ensure students receive optimal support.
  • Maintain accurate records and adhere to state and federal regulations governing special education.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid Ohio teaching certification in Special Education.
  • Experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
