As a Critical Rotating Equipment Engineer, you will play a key role in enhancing the availability of rotating machinery and addressing specific performance challenges across various BASF manufacturing locations in North America. Your expertise will be essential in diagnosing and resolving issues, driving continuous improvements, and ensuring reliable operations that meet our customers' needs.
As part of the Machinery Expertise team, you will collaborate closely with regional and global colleagues, leveraging their extensive experience and knowledge to develop and implement best practices for diverse rotating equipment.
Your contributions as a Senior Engineer for Rotating Machinery will include:
- Utilizing your engineering background and experience in troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment to support manufacturing operations.
- Collaborating with plant maintenance and reliability teams to identify issues, devise solutions, and implement corrective actions for both planned and emergency repairs.
- Providing rotating equipment expertise to drive sustainable improvements and embracing innovative technologies to enhance performance.
- Leading and participating in site Reliability Programs, including but not limited to Bad Actor Programs, Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and Root Cause Failure Analysis.
- Working with BASF Engineering and Maintenance teams globally to align processes, methodologies, and best practices while engaging with production, maintenance, engineering, and research personnel across multiple sites.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required, with a preference for Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment in manufacturing settings.
- Proven ability to make critical business decisions and recommendations to enhance equipment reliability.
- Experience providing input on capital projects is advantageous.
