About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled High-Frequency RF Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As an essential member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing systems that involve electromagnetic spectrum usage.

Spectrum Management Expertise

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RF engineering, signal processing, and spectrum management, with a focus on ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will work closely with regulatory bodies, engineering teams, and project managers to support spectrum-related initiatives across various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct operational characterization and engineering analysis of DoD mission requests using aeronautical charts and FAA database/software analysis tool.
  • Review and coordinate military tactical data link network (Link16) requests and exercise requests.
  • Ensure requests and assignments meet FAA compatibility criteria for operation within the national airspace and process accordingly.
  • Manage spectrum allocation and usage, ensuring compliance with FCC and other international regulatory bodies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in RF engineering, spectrum analysis, or a similar field.
  • Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and RF testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of FCC regulations and international spectrum management policies.
  • Strong understanding of electromagnetic theory, signal propagation, and antenna design.
Compensation

This role offers a competitive salary range of $104,650.00 - $189,175.00 per year. Please note that compensation may vary based on factors such as education, experience, and location.
