Job Title: Medical Imaging Specialist
Location: Greenbelt, MD
Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-Ray Technician to join our new orthopedic practice. This unique role combines technical expertise with administrative support, making it an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in orthopedic imaging and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include providing high-quality imaging services, managing meeting schedules, overseeing office operations, handling inventory, and assisting with HR-related tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- X-Ray Technician
- Liaise with vendors for EMR, X-ray, IT, medical supplies, etc.
- Front desk (temporary) - Answer and manage general incoming calls, scheduling - listening to voicemails and follow up as needed
- Managing company online faxing
- Handle admin & program-related mailings
- Manage inventory and supplies
- Create, read, analyze, file, retrieve and organize organizational documents, invoices, and orders
- Facilitate Employee Email, Laptop, and Access
- May also handle some administrative functions of the human resources department, and support as back up for some key HR activities including employee onboarding and offboarding
- Support with outreach old patients, neighborhood practices, PCP & social media - as needed
- Serve as key project support for internal small sized projects
Requirements:
- Colegiate degree in a relevant field; preferably healthcare a plus but not required
- Proven work experience as an X-Ray technician & Admin
- Knowledge & Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be a people person
- Very responsive & good problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of basic office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, and printers
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask are essential, as are self-motivation, critical thinking skills, and decision-making skills
- Specialty training certification for Phlebotomy, casting & MA are plus, but not required
- Reliable transportation needed; some days a week in-person at our Greenbelt, MD office
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
