Job Summary

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at American Family Care Fountain City, you will play a critical role in assisting physicians in diagnosing injuries and disease by performing radiographic and other diagnostic imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care: Greet patients and explain procedures to patients in a compassionate manner, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Diagnostic Imaging: Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures, practice ALARA radiation protection techniques, and process images for review by physicians and radiologists.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies.
  • Administrative Support: Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed, and serve as a Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one-year related experience and/or training.
  • Certifications: ARRT-registered or board eligible, licensed per state regulation, and Medical Assistant Certification or registry, Practical Nursing License, EMT, or Paramedic certification (if required by state).
