Job Overview:

The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for delivering comprehensive cleaning services at Navy Gateway Inn and Suites or Navy Lodge properties. This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, the cleaning of guest accommodations, public areas, storage facilities, laundry rooms, and outdoor spaces.

Key responsibilities include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, scrubbing, washing, and removing debris. The attendant will utilize both manual and powered cleaning tools to execute these duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness of guest rooms and designated areas.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and carpet cleaners.
- Empty waste receptacles, dust, wax, and polish furniture.
- Clean walls, partitions, air vents, and disinfect restroom facilities.
- Wash and replace window treatments and clean ceiling fixtures.
- Change light bulbs and room partitions, utilizing ladders and scaffolding as necessary.
- Move furniture to ensure thorough cleaning underneath and behind items.
- Maintain cleanliness in bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Ensure proper functionality of amenities such as luggage racks and in-room technology.
- Provide a welcoming atmosphere for guests while ensuring their privacy and security.
- Regularly clean corridors, stairways, and exterior spaces.
- Conduct deep cleaning as required, particularly after guest check-out.
- Communicate the status of cleaned areas to supervisors and maintain records of daily tasks.
- Assist with the receipt and organization of supplies, including moving heavy items when necessary.
- Handle keys responsibly and report any unusual circumstances to supervisors.
- Support breakfast service operations, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the dining area.

Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform moderate physical tasks, including moving furniture and using cleaning equipment.
- Willingness to obtain necessary certifications as required.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment.
