Collaborative for Educational Services is seeking a highly dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at the Norfolk County House of Correction. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a critical role in helping high-risk youth overcome obstacles and achieve their goals.
**Salary:** $55,329 - $78,363 per year, plus comprehensive benefits package.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students who need it most. As a Special Education Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver specialized, engaging lessons aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will also differentiate instruction based on student needs, collaborate with Department of Youth Services (DYS) staff to support student growth, provide social-emotional support and transition planning, monitor and report on IEP progress, and engage families through conferences and events.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong commitment to teaching high-risk youth and possess a Bachelor's Degree, as well as a MA license in Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities (Grades 5-12). A Master's Degree is preferred, and multilingual candidates are highly desired.
