Position Overview: The main objective of your role as a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is to deliver routine daily nursing care and services to assigned residents, in alignment with their individual assessments and care plans, as directed by supervisory staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit the knowledge and skills necessary to cater to the age-related needs of residents.
- Demonstrate the ability to make independent decisions when required and maintain composure in emergency situations.
- Interact tactfully with residents, families, visitors, and various stakeholders.
- Be a supportive team member, exemplifying teamwork and collaboration.
- Follow both oral and written instructions effectively.
- Work harmoniously with other staff members.
- Display patience, tact, and a cheerful disposition while engaging with residents at their respective maturity levels.
- Seek out and integrate new methods and principles into existing nursing practices.
- Communicate relevant information regarding residents' conditions.
- Ensure no direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace.
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by the facility's leadership.
- Possess the ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant Course is required.
