Job Summary:
FPM Remediations, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee and direct environmental construction projects in Lubbock, Texas. The successful candidate will provide primary onsite management of projects, subcontractors, and employees, reporting to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage on-site labor hours, maintain construction project schedules, and evaluate material, equipment, and human resource requirements.
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to communicate changing project requirements, scheduling, subcontractor issues, and other project-related matters.
- Ensure installation project safety compliance and report any issues to the Project Manager and Site Safety and Health Officer.
- Directly supervise and coordinate all field activities for assigned mid-to-large-scale construction projects.
- Schedule and coordinate field activities, supervising project crews to ensure safety, quality, efficiency, morale, and communication.
- Identify and communicate site conditions that may impact quality, cost, or schedule.
- Work closely with the Contractor Quality Control Officer and Site Safety Health Officer to ensure project success.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on superintendence for mid-to-large-scale projects. Experience at Department of Defense sites is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management or a technical/engineering discipline, or extensive experience in lieu of degree.
- Experience and training must include understanding of construction methods, techniques, equipment, and hands-on experience in a supervisory position.
Preferred Qualifications:
- OSHA 40 certification
- Ability to successfully complete a U.S. government-administered investigation
Work Environment:
The Construction Superintendent will work extensively in the field, traveling to various locations in Texas and New Mexico, and other locations in the U.S. as needed. Fieldwork involves performing physically demanding tasks and working 10-hour days (typically 5 hours per week). The position requires the ability to navigate uneven ground and other obstacles found in natural surroundings.
Pay Range & Benefits:
$75,000 - $110,000
