Medical West is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Services team.
About the Role:
The Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed, patient-centered nursing care. The Registered Nurse assesses patients upon admission; plans, implements, and evaluates patient care; administers medications; and evaluates and documents patients status and progress.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the care of patients in the Emergency Department
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Evaluate and document patient progress and status
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements:
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Alabama Board of Nursing
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- ACLS and/or PALS certification may be required depending on the nursing unit
