About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiology Nurse to join our team at UAB Medical West. As a Radiology Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Your primary role will be to assist physicians in performing diagnostic imaging procedures and administering radiation therapy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Administer radiation therapy to patients as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to physicians
  • Administer medications and maintain accurate medical records
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care
Requirements:
  • Active RN license
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Radiology nursing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Radiology nursing
  • Experience with electronic medical records
  • Experience with radiation therapy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
