Job Title: CareFlight Flight Coordinator

At Premier Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CareFlight Flight Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our CareFlight team, you will be responsible for coordinating the operations of our air and ground transport vehicles, ensuring seamless communication and efficient patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the Communication Center for CareFlight Air & Mobile, including multiple aircraft and ground transport vehicles, and other air & ground vehicles as needed.
  • Cover open shifts due to time off (TOP, Vacations, etc.), and self-schedule remaining shifts.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide exceptional patient care.
  • Collaborate with the CareFlight team to develop and implement operational strategies to improve patient outcomes and safety.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest medical and operational procedures.
Requirements:
  • Certified Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic in the state of Ohio, or equivalent knowledge or experience.
  • Air Medical Communication Specialist Certification required during orientation.
  • 1-3 years of job-related experience, with a preference for experience as an EMS provider or a minimum of 1 year full-time experience in EMS Dispatching.
  • Ability to sit/stand at work station for at least 12 hours, and work with a telephone and radio system.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with/alongside coworkers and customers with a wide range of personalities.
Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to sit at a computer with multiple monitors for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to use a headset for extended periods of time.
  • Must attend department meetings and education, including completing any education assignments as requested.
  • Shift days/hours are subject to change based on the needs of the department.
  • Must be flexible in scheduling and conduct yourself in a respectful and professional manner at all times.
