CareFlight Air & Mobile Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CareFlight Air & Mobile Coordinator to join our team at Premier Health Partners. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for operating the Communication Center for CareFlight Air & Mobile, including multiple aircraft and ground transport vehicles, and other air & ground vehicles as needed, during your assigned shift.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate the Communication Center for CareFlight Air & Mobile, including multiple aircraft and ground transport vehicles, and other air & ground vehicles as needed, during your assigned shift.
  • Cover open shifts due to time off (TOP, Vacations, etc.), remainder of shifts are self-schedule.
  • Weekends: Every Third Equivalent
  • Holidays: 2-3 per year.
  • Must be able to sit/stand at work station for at least 12 hours.
  • Must be able to sit at a computer with multiple monitors for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to work with a telephone and radio system.
  • Must be able to multi-task efficiently.
  • Must demonstrate good customer service skills and work with/alongside coworkers and customers with a wide range of personalities.
  • Must be able to use a headset for extended periods of time.
  • Must attend department meeting and education; including completing any education assignments as requested.
  • Shift days/hours are subject to change based on the needs of the department.
  • Must be flexible in scheduling.
  • Must conduct yourself in a respectful and professional manner at all times with interacting with coworkers, customers, and other stakeholders.
  • Complete projects, assignments, or other functions, including cross training, as needed/directed.
  • Must attend LZ training and assist in off-loading aircraft, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Level of Education Required: High School completion / GED
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
  • This position requires a certified Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic in the state of Ohio, or may have the equivalent in knowledge or experience. Air Medical Communication Specialist Certification required during orientation.
  • Minimum Level of Experience Required: 1 - 3 years of job-related experience
  • Preferred experience: Experience as an EMS provider or a minimum of 1 year full-time experience in EMS Dispatching.
