IT Infrastructure Specialist

MetroSys is seeking a skilled System Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This is a full-time position that requires strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- System Maintenance and Management:
- Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify possible intrusions.
- Ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
- User Support:
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Administer user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
- Backup and Recovery:
- Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.
- Ensure regular backup operations and verify data integrity.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, antivirus, and intrusion detection systems.
- Ensure systems comply with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Network Administration:
- Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Ensure network security and connectivity.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and issues.
- Generate regular reports on system performance and health.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience:
- Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Active Directory, Office 365, etc.).
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of system security (e.g., intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
