Valiant Integrated Services is looking for an experienced Doctrinal Training Team (DTT) Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a Part-Time On Call role, providing support to the Army National Guard (ARNG) Mission Training Complexes and various Department of Defense (DOD) sites. This position involves comprehensive expertise in collective training for Mission Training Complexes, including the creation of training scenarios, script development, and exercise oversight for MTC-driven collective events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in military Live, Virtual, Constructive, and Gaming (LVC-G) training methodologies, including simulations and other Mission Command Training enablers.
  • Lead a team of DTT SMEs across diverse subject matter areas such as Intelligence, Maneuver, Fires, Protection, and Sustainment.
  • Act as an advisor and mentor for Brigade and Below Units throughout the planning and execution phases, including After Action Reviews (AAR) of MTC-driven collective events.
  • Recommend effective LVC-G training strategies and methodologies to fulfill and anticipate training needs.
  • Design scenario-based exercises aligned with Unit Commanders' training objectives.
  • Develop theater-specific scripting for Master Scenario Events List (MSEL) or simulation control injects that support training exercises and constructive staff training in a Live-Virtual-Constructive environment.
  • Conduct thorough research on evolving military doctrine, theater-specific operations, and newly developed tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) for MSEL or simulation control injects.
  • Ensure Unit Leadership comprehends MTC capabilities related to operations, training, technical support, simulations, and distribution methodologies.
  • During collective events, synchronize the capabilities of MTC training assets effectively.
  • Oversee and manage a team of skilled trainers both administratively and operationally.
  • Handle sensitive government data and represent the government at various meetings and conferences.
  • Communicate effectively with corporate and customer management to ascertain project scope, planning needs, and reporting requirements.
  • Ensure timely delivery of reports and implement ISO quality standards.
  • Analyze progress and develop necessary recovery plans or alternatives as needed.
  • Evaluate existing components or systems to determine integration requirements, ensuring final solutions meet organizational needs.
  • Adhere to Company and Site Policies, Practices, and Procedures, utilizing authority to conduct or recommend employee disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Safeguard and maintain government-furnished equipment, materials, and facilities.

Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree in any field (MA or MS preferred). Completion of Command and General Staff College or equivalent military education is preferred.
  • Prior senior Army/ARNG leadership experience with a background in training management and Combat Training Center (CTC) experience.
  • Experience as a Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support Officer with primary staff experience in specific War Fighting Functions at Battalion, Brigade, or Division Level.
  • A minimum of six (6) years of combined staff experience in specific War Fighting Functions or eight (8) years of specialized experience in a similar MCTSP duty position.
  • Recent experience within the National Guard training support system.
  • Qualifications in War Fighter Function area Army Mission Command System.
  • Previous experience as a Battalion or higher commander is preferred.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience with Computer Assisted Training exercises.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience with Military or DOD operations.
  • Possession of a valid State Driver's License and maintenance of Post driving privileges.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Successful completion of the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Awareness training.
  • Two (2) years of experience in exercise planning using the Joint Exercise Life Cycle (JELC) process.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational planning and simulations using ERF, MRF, and stimulating MCS is preferred.
  • Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for effective interaction with military and civilian personnel.
  • Strong judgment and common sense in performing job functions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple tasks under pressure.
