As a Surgical Nursing Specialist, you will provide leadership that enhances the delivery of professional nursing care, ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients.
You will employ the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver, delegate, supervise, and document patient care and education for families.
Additionally, you will execute medically prescribed interventions.
QualificationsRequired Education:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with completion of a BSN within five years of hire.
Preferred Education:
Master's degree in Nursing.
Required Licensure/Certifications:
Current registered nurse licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; please confirm with NCBON. Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
Preferred Licensure/Certifications:
National Certification in a specialty area.
Required Experience:
Minimum of one year of nursing experience in a hospital setting.
