Job Summary:

The Cardiac Sonographer will perform advanced cardiac ultrasound services and procedures for adult patients, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology, and the ability to adapt to changing situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for procedures and obtain clinical history to adapt imaging techniques.
  • Perform basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound procedures using various equipment and techniques.
  • Identify and define cardiac abnormalities and extend the scope of the examination as needed.
  • Assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms by performing echocardiograph studies.
  • Record statistics and perform daily maintenance of the Echocardiography Lab and its equipment.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited program or 2 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
  • Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
