Position Overview
The primary objective of this role is to develop and refine the skills of a Pharmacist while engaged in pharmacy education. All responsibilities will be executed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accurately receive and process customer and prescription information, including refill requests, from clients and healthcare providers.
2. Efficiently fill customer prescriptions with precision.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and utilize available resources to gather information on customers and prescriptions, addressing any issues that may arise.
4. Become proficient with Thrift Drug, Inc.'s computer systems to accurately input customer and prescription data.
5. Provide prompt service in the Pharmacy area by assisting customers and managing transactions.
6. Offer guidance to customers on medical-related inquiries and provide healthcare advice.
7. Stay updated on over-the-counter medications.
8. Understand and adhere to company policies and procedures.
9. Contribute to maintaining the Pharmacy department's cleanliness and organization.
10. Assist with inventory counts, documentation, and customer notifications.
11. Perform quality assurance tasks in compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations.
12. Be prepared to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school program are required.
Possession of a valid Pharmacy intern license is essential.
