Join Scandrill as an Oilfield Operations Specialist and play a vital role in supporting the drilling crew. This position is based in West Texas, where you will work in physically demanding conditions.

About the Role

In this critical position, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of drilling equipment, including derricks, drawworks, mud pumps, and drilling tools. You will work alongside the drilling team to identify and resolve issues promptly, contributing to increased efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in Drilling Operations: Collaborate with the drilling team to operate drilling equipment effectively.
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on drilling equipment to prevent downtime and ensure safe operations.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to strict safety protocols and procedures, maintaining a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Physical Labor: Engage in physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy equipment and materials, climbing derricks, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues, supervisors, and other personnel on the drilling site.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Roughneck or in a similar position outside the industry.
  • Ability to work 14 days on and 14 days off, including holidays, weekends, or days and nights.
  • Able to stand and walk for a minimum of 4 hours at any one time, including standing and walking on steel decking as well as gravel, board roads, and mud, snow, and ice.
  • Must be able to repetitively lift and carry items weighing upwards of 60 lbs.
Working Conditions

You will work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity. Travel to different drilling locations may be required.

Salary
