Job Summary

The primary responsibility of the Production Facility Cleaner is to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the production environment and equipment. This role involves various cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and sanitary workspace.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and vacuuming production area floors.
  2. Sanitize production equipment components and related support systems, including tanks, lines, valves, conveyors, and water treatment systems.
  3. Polish stainless-steel parts to maintain their appearance.
  4. Ensure the production area is free from debris, including bottles, cans, and other packaging materials.
  5. Report any equipment issues to management and indicate when repairs or preventive maintenance are necessary.
  6. Complete necessary documentation regarding equipment status and supply orders.
  7. Utilize appropriate safety gear and adhere to sanitation and safety standards.
  8. Participate in all required training related to safety, food safety, and good manufacturing practices.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or training is a plus.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measuring and interpreting data.
  • Strong reasoning skills to follow instructions and solve problems.

Competencies

Essential competencies include attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, problem-solving abilities, self-management, stamina, and teamwork.

Physical Demands

This role requires regular use of hands, walking, and the ability to lift and move items of varying weights. Specific vision abilities are necessary for close work and depth perception.

Work Environment

Employees may encounter wet conditions, moving mechanical parts, and exposure to chemicals. The noise level is typically loud.
