Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Facilities HVAC Technician to join our team at our Columbus, Ohio facility. As a Facilities HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant building and grounds, including HVAC systems, utility distribution systems, and other facilities-related tasks.
You will work closely with our maintenance team to ensure that our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Maintain and improve plant building and grounds, including HVAC systems, utility distribution systems, and other facilities-related tasks.
- Perform plant and/or office facilities maintenance duties, such as furniture moving, maintenance of office equipment, and simple electrical projects.
- Perform work in more than one of the maintenance trades, including carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair, electrical and HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, and welding.
- Preventative maintenance: Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machines and equipment, and report problems to supervisor as appropriate.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings, and specifications.
- Remove snow from entrances and docking areas using appropriate equipment.
- May be involved in other activities, such as parking lot repairs, dock door work, dairy brick and epoxy flooring repairs, waste paper recycling, inter-office transportation, set-up of audiovisual equipment, and stocking of coffee areas.
- Initiate or maintain schedule for projects and project milestones.
- Propose solutions independently; make decisions on projects.
- Develop and implement projects from concept to completion.
- Record/document work activities and reporting needed future work using CMMS.
- Work from a weekly list of scheduled PMs and other Work Orders, but also respond to immediate need Facilities Maintenance tasks.
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2 or more years experience in Industrial Maintenance or Facility Maintenance
- Must be able to work from heights and ladders.
- HVAC Universal License
