Opportunity Overview

Atrium Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified General Surgery Physician to join our team at Atrium Health Lincoln, a 100-bed acute care hospital in Lincolnton, NC. This is an exciting opportunity for a surgeon to elevate the care of urgent and emergent general surgical patients at the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide emergency general surgery coverage and partner with two established general surgeons who participate in call coverage in addition to elective practice.
  • Work a 7 days on/7 days off schedule with competitive salary, benefits, and bonus structure.
  • Offer limited clinic coverage during work weeks for urgent needs and hospital follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with specialists such as interventional radiology, HPB, bariatrics, plastic surgery, colorectal, gynecological oncology, and others at two regional tertiary referral centers.

Through the AH Acute Care Surgery Network, all surgeons providing care of the EGS/trauma/Surgical Critical Care patient have the opportunity to participate in a monthly call, research, and education opportunities, and specific projects to advance the care of urgent general surgical patients across the system.
