We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a Surgical Nights position at Frye Regional Medical Center. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our registered nurses to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice, under the supervision of a registered nurse.
- Contribute to the assessment of patients by collecting data for analysis by an RN, and perform plan of care interventions, including specimen collection and wound care.
- Administer medication as directed, and document patient care given.
- Assist RN with development of plan of care, and assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Monitor, document, and communicate patient's status and reactions to interventions with RN, physician, patient, and families.
- Current LPN license in state of NC
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision
