About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ITW Performance Polymers. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment and facilities to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Conduct inspections and testing to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians to complete projects and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Manage contractors and vendors to complete projects and ensure safe performance by their employees.
  • Interpret blueprints, layouts, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals to complete assigned work.
  • Set up and operate tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  • Complete computer-related tasks, including ordering replacement materials, managing work order requests, and managing spare parts inventory.
  • Maintain department housekeeping duties to keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Implement safety initiatives and STOP Card projects to identify and correct site or personnel safety hazards.
  • Promote, support, and adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality-related policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Trade school completion, formal apprenticeship programs, or six to eight years of plant maintenance experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one of the following areas: carpentry, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, welding, rotating equipment, or associated facility work.
  • Previous computer experience and familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and work order and Preventative Maintenance (PM) tracking.
  • Experience working in an electrically rated production environment or Process Safety Management (PSM) facility.
  • Ability to interpret machine and facility drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to interpret SDS's and understanding of Hazardous Identification System.
