Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, working within the nursing process to ensure comprehensive and individualized care plans.
  • Participate in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families, adhering to hospital standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations and discharge planning.
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights, and document clinical findings.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained, and participate in emergency measures for sudden adverse developments.

Requirements: To be successful as a Clinical Care Coordinator with the University of New Mexico Hospitals, you will need:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of directly related experience in a hospital setting.
  • CPR certification for Healthcare Providers (BLS) within 30 days of hire.
  • RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for reciprocal agreement.

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
