About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Utility Maintenance Associate to join our team at BJ's Wholesale Club. As a key member of our Club Support Center, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and positive environment for our members and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Cleaning Duties: Perform general maintenance and cleaning tasks, including wet and dry mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, carpet extracting, washing glass, emptying trash receptacles, and pulling pallets.
  • Cart Management: Gather and return carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance, ensuring they are well-stocked and in working order.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintain the outdoor grounds of club property, including cart corrals, sidewalks, and outdoor trash receptacles.
  • Equipment Operation: Safely operate floor scrubbers, trash compactors, and cardboard balers, following established safety standards.
  • Supply Management: Restock maintenance and cleaning supplies, ensuring supply areas are clean, neat, and organized.
  • Minor Repairs: Perform minor and routine building repairs, notifying management when major repairs are required.
Requirements
  • Training and Certification: Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
  • Experience: Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently lift objects up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and move heavy and/or awkward objects with assistance.
