Job Summary

The Lead Engineer will work under direct supervision to perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products. This includes design, fabrication, modification, and evaluation of electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop FPGA/CPLD designs through all phases of design and system integration for high-reliability embedded aerospace and ground-based vehicle systems applications.
  • Analyze equipment to establish operating data and conduct experimental tests.
  • Develop and support FPGA/CPLD designs using design/analysis tools, such as Timing Designer and Hyperlynx.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure electrical integrity of FPGA design in embedded applications.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of circuit design experience with demonstrated ability to design HDL-based FPGAs and CPLDs for aerospace applications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of digital electronic devices and circuit design principles.
  • Experience with Synopsys - Design Compiler (DC), IC Compiler II (ICC2), PrimeTime (PT), PrimePower (PT-PX).
  • Hands-on hardware build, test, and integration experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Matlab and Simulink for auto-generation of FPGA code.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to effectively work in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability.
  • Strong written and oral presentation skills.
Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
