About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer - Level I to join our team at Employee Owned Holdings, Inc. as a key member of our engineering team. As a Mechanical Engineer - Level I, you will play a critical role in designing and developing hydraulic systems and components for our clients in the marine, military, and aerospace industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hydraulic System Design: Collaborate with our engineering team to design and develop hydraulic systems and components, creating detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and schematics.
  • Engineering Support: Provide invaluable support to our engineering team in various aspects of the design and development process, including contributing to drawings, calculations, sizing, and specifications.
  • System Analysis and Testing: Perform hydraulic system analysis, including pressure, flow, and thermal calculations, and conduct tests and simulations to ensure the reliability and performance of hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and diagnose hydraulic system issues, proposing effective solutions.
  • Drawing Interpretation: Analyze and interpret a variety of sources, including sketches, customer drawings, visual inspections, and verbal input from engineers or designers.
  • Technical Research: Conduct thorough research to acquire information about necessary components for each system.
  • Commissioning: Lead and oversee the commissioning phase of projects, ensuring all systems and components are thoroughly tested and verified for functionality.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (ABET accredited university), or equivalent technical degree with equivalent experience.
  • Fluid Power Specialist Certification: A plus.
  • Experience: Zero (0) to two (2) years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Previous Experience in the Fluid Power Industry: A benefit.
  • Familiarity with Working in an ISO 9001 Certified Environment: A plus.
