Maker Space Proctor

Florida International University is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Maker Space Proctor. The successful candidate will assist students in operating various tools and equipment, including 3D printers, air media, metalworking tools, and other technical devices.
Key Responsibilities:- Facilitate workshops and provide hands-on support for student projects.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
- Assist students in developing their technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the Maker Space.
- At least 3 semesters of FIU work experience or related experience outside the University with satisfactory or higher from prior student appointment.
- Proficiency in using general technical equipment and tools commonly found in a makerspace.
- Passion for creativity, innovation, and hands-on projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively and supportively within student and faculty environment.
The Maker Space Proctor will work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of tools and equipment. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team, and must be able to lift and move equipment as needed.
