About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dietary Aide to join our team at Summit Commons Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Providence. As a key member of our culinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care and customer service to our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents, adhering to therapeutic diet cards and ensuring proper serving temperatures.
  • Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the dining service areas, adhering to sanitation and storage policies.
  • Collaborate with the cook to monitor meal serving times and ensure timely delivery of nourishment.
  • Adhere to daily nourishment lists and stock nourishment stations to ensure residents receive their meals on time.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the dining director, including maintaining the appearance of the dining service areas and performing regular inspections for sanitation, order, and safety.
Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to follow oral and written communication.
  • Must possess patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on their maturity level.
  • Must be able to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing dietary practices.
  • Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
