Position Overview

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care through our integrated health system. Our Hospital Medicine team is seeking a passionate and skilled physician to join our efforts in delivering high-quality medical services in both our hospital-at-home program and our perioperative surgical home clinic.

Key Responsibilities

Hospital Medicine Team

As a member of our Hospital Medicine team, you will play a vital role in offering expert medical care to patients in innovative settings. This position emphasizes the importance of perioperative medical management and telehealth, allowing you to enhance your expertise in delivering acute care services within patients' homes.

Perioperative Surgical Home Program

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preoperative Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments to ensure patients are in optimal condition for surgery, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address medical conditions that may impact surgical outcomes, implementing strategies to minimize risks.
  • Care Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication among healthcare professionals and patients to ensure comprehensive preoperative care.
  • Quality Improvement: Engage in initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes and program efficiency through data analysis and evidence-based practices.

Home Recovery Care Program

In this role, you will also provide acute medical care to patients in their homes, focusing on:

  • Patient Assessment: Perform detailed evaluations and develop tailored care plans for individuals with various medical conditions.
  • Care Coordination: Work closely with a team of healthcare providers to ensure cohesive and effective care delivery.
  • Patient Education: Inform patients and their families about treatment plans and self-management strategies to promote health and prevent complications.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

  • Medical Degree
  • Completion of ACGME Residency Training
  • Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine
  • Current ACLS certification, Washington State Medical License, and DEA registration in good standing

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is between $306,000 and $340,000 annually, based on experience and performance, with additional quality incentives available.
