Position Overview:


The Department of Orthopaedics at the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track clinical faculty role.

In addition to fulfilling responsibilities as a practicing physician in clinical environments, the faculty member will engage in direct and observational education for residents and medical students.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver direct patient care while overseeing, instructing, and training residents and medical/podiatry students.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and participate in the academic activities of the department.
  • Provide coverage for outpatient clinics in ambulatory settings and conduct inpatient procedures and rounds in the hospital.
  • Conduct evaluations for medical student and resident performances as mandated by relevant accrediting bodies.
  • Engage in the academic functions of the department.

Qualifications:


Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a current medical license in Illinois and possess at least one year of clinical experience as an Attending physician; candidates should be ABOS or ABPS board-certified or board-eligible. Academic rank and track will be determined based on the successful candidate's experience.
