Homelessness Services Specialist

At MySkye Care, we are seeking a highly skilled Homelessness Services Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in supporting individuals with disabilities to live successfully in their communities.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will provide community-based housing stabilization services to eligible adult clients, focusing on transition and sustaining services. They will work closely with clients to develop person-centered housing plans, ensuring that services are culturally sensitive and appropriate.
Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining a caseload of clients and conducting regular meetings in the community or at clients' homes.
- Identifying and resolving barriers to accessing housing.
- Supporting clients in applying for benefits and securing safe and suitable living arrangements.
- Providing training and coaching on lease compliance, household management, and income maintenance.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of housing and homelessness concepts, as well as experience working with vulnerable populations. They must be able to prioritize activities, manage time effectively, and communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Minnesota driver's license, reliable transportation, and valid insurance.
- At least one year of experience in case management or a related field.
