Job Title: Merchandise Associate

At Legends Hospitality, we're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Merchandise Associate to join our team. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for creating an exceptional game day experience for our fans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service and create a positive, fun environment for our diverse team and fan base.
  • Greet guests and ascertain their interests to make sales recommendations.
  • Accurately use POS systems and demonstrate ownership in cleaning, re-stocking, and other tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Present merchandise to increase sales with add-on items and describe features, benefits, and explain use.
  • Stay up-to-date on promotions, sales, and events at the speedway and maintain inventory, merchandise placement, and accurate counts.
  • Continuously increase knowledge of product, facility, and all events held at IMS.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including assisting with gift shop set-up and merchandising.

Requirements:

  • Honesty and integrity in all actions and language.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and make necessary changes.
  • Excellent customer service and selling skills.
  • Willingness to work extended hours on event days and weekends, as needed.
  • High school graduate, GED, or equivalent experience in a comparable company.
  • Accuracy in open and close procedures and ability to lift 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
  • Innovative and self-starter, able to work independently and as part of a team.
