Job Title: Substation Protection and Control Electrical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Protection and Control Electrical Engineer to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our Power Delivery Services Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing substation protection and control systems for electric utilities at various voltage levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop substation protection and control systems, including one-line and three-line drawings, AC and DC schematic designs, and wiring designs.
  • Develop Bills of Materials based on design criteria and perform quality control checks on wiring designs.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure project requirements are met and deliverables are completed on time.
  • Apply the National Electrical Safety Code to design processes and work with client standards to implement design.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in substation protection and control design and/or field testing/commissioning.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead projects as needed.
