Speech Language Pathologist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in Everett, Massachusetts.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to provide evaluation and treatment services for adult patients with speech, language, and/or cognitive disorders. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in neurogenic communication disorders and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:- Examine and evaluate patients' communication using formal and informal clinical evaluations.
- Develop treatment plans with treatment goals directed towards maximizing function.
- Consult with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordination and effectiveness of therapies provided.
- Assist with implementation of triaging and prioritizing referrals and discharges to and from the service as assigned.
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills necessary to manage patient caseloads and care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation per departmental policy and format.
- Participate in departmental meetings to formulate policies, procedures, and program development.
- Supervise graduate student interns and support personnel as appropriate.
- Perform administrative duties as assigned.
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association.
- Possess or be eligible for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology from the state of Massachusetts.
- Demonstrate expertise in the diagnosis and remediation of neurogenic communication disorders preferred.
- Possess interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals.
- Must possess effective communication skills (written and verbal) to interact with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare personnel.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle and prioritize multiple, competing tasks and demands.
- Must possess the physical abilities needed to assist with moving patients and to push portable workstations if necessary.
