Veterinary Cardiology Technician

The Purdue University Veterinary Hospital is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our Cardiology team. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work with board-certified veterinary cardiologists, residents, and specialty interns, assisting with outpatient echocardiograms and patient screenings, as well as a variety of inpatient procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
The veterinary nursing team plays a crucial role in assisting with pacemaker implantation, balloon valvuloplasty, PDA occlusions, and other minimally invasive cardiac procedures. Veterinary technicians at Purdue are valued for their skills and knowledge and are utilized for patient care, as well as providing instruction and mentoring to veterinary and veterinary nursing students.
What We're Looking For:Education and Experience:- AAS in Veterinary Technology from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology Program.
- Must become RVT in Indiana within 12 months of hire.
- Able to listen to and follow both verbal and written directions.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to read and write in English.
- Must possess knowledge level enough to explain and demonstrate routine veterinary medical concepts and procedures to aid in instruction of veterinary students, and veterinary technology students.
