Job Overview

CDR Health Care Inc. is seeking a skilled Emergency Medical Technician to join their team in the Orlando area. As a critical care specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

  • Accurately record patient medical information
  • Provide backup relief for staff positions as needed
  • Adhere to company policies and rules
  • Perform tasks as requested by the incident commander or supervisor
  • Offer emotional and psychological support to patients and their families
  • Communicate with patients' families and friends to provide advice and instructions
  • Take and record vital signs as needed

Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (subject to change)

Requirements

  • Current State of Florida EMT license required in good standing
  • Proven experience as an EMT
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and undertake diverse care tasks
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Above-average physical condition and stamina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress
  • Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen and background check
  • Ability to provide Form I-9 documents showing identity and eligibility to work in the United States
  • Other duties may arise that commensurate with the title and position
  • Full immunization record must be presented before hire, Covid vaccine not included
  • BLS and ACLS certificates
  • Bilingual (highly preferred, not required)
