Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing behavioral analysis and support to help them achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to help individuals improve their behavior.
  • Work with individuals and staff to observe, identify, analyze, and document behavior challenges.
  • Develop and implement behavioral analysis service plans.
  • Train team members to reinforce implementation of behavioral plans.
  • Collaborate with the team to create a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to behavioral or ABA, such as mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, or occupational therapy.
  • Supervised clinical experience of at least 1,000 hours or equivalent in documented coursework.
  • BCABA certification (preferred) or actively working toward certification with documented fieldwork supervision.
  • Minimum one year experience working with special populations, including crisis prevention, staff training, and development.
  • Valid driver's license, current registration, and insurance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Compassionate and reliable attitude with a commitment to quality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of behavior principles, program development, and monitoring techniques.
  • Strong customer service orientation and patience.
  • Collaborative and creative approach to employee training.
