Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Support Specialist to join our team. As a Behavioral Support Specialist, you will work with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing behavioral analysis and support to help them achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct behavioral assessments and develop individualized treatment plans to help individuals improve their behavior.
- Work with individuals and staff to observe, identify, analyze, and document behavior challenges.
- Develop and implement behavioral analysis service plans.
- Train team members to reinforce implementation of behavioral plans.
- Collaborate with the team to create a supportive and inclusive environment for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to behavioral or ABA, such as mental health, special education, social work, psychology, speech pathology, or occupational therapy.
- Supervised clinical experience of at least 1,000 hours or equivalent in documented coursework.
- BCABA certification (preferred) or actively working toward certification with documented fieldwork supervision.
- Minimum one year experience working with special populations, including crisis prevention, staff training, and development.
- Valid driver's license, current registration, and insurance.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Compassionate and reliable attitude with a commitment to quality.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of behavior principles, program development, and monitoring techniques.
- Strong customer service orientation and patience.
- Collaborative and creative approach to employee training.
