Job Summary:

The Technical Support Specialist delivers exceptional customer service through technical support for IT Desktop and Low Voltage Infrastructure services. This includes hardware installation and maintenance, fiber and copper cabling, OS settings, options, and configurations, as well as tier 1 technical troubleshooting and problem resolution. The Specialist collaborates with other Information Services work groups to resolve tickets and follows established escalation processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for IT Desktop and Low Voltage Infrastructure services
  • Install and maintain hardware and software systems
  • Configure and troubleshoot network and system issues
  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex technical issues
  • Follow established escalation processes to ensure timely resolution of issues

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • One year of experience in IT Desktop, Low Voltage Infrastructure, or mobile technology work in a large work environment required; preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Understanding of modern desktop hardware and operating systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work calmly and respond professionally under pressure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BISCI Installer 2 Copper or Fiber certification
  • CompTIA A+ certification
  • Apple Certified Support Specialist (ACSP) certification
