Responsibilities
  • Provide high-end engineering support for enterprise virtualized environments, leveraging your expertise in Windows Servers and VMware.
  • Contribute to key project decisions regarding system requirements, design, testing methods, and delivery activities.
  • Communicate effectively with program stakeholders regarding activity status and potential recommendations for improvement.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within deployed systems.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for developing, recommending, implementing, and maintaining Windows Active Directory and Group Policy.
  • Patch, apply STIGs, and remediate security vulnerabilities on Windows servers and VMware workstation images.
  • Plan, design, develop, document, and recommend enhancements and modifications to existing systems and new system capabilities.
  • Work in an AWS cloud environment.
  • Support management activities, including patch management and backups across deployed systems.
  • Collaborate with team members to proactively diagnose and resolve complex problems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of related experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Windows Server, Workstation, and VMware.
  • DoD Directive 8570 IAT Level II or higher certification.
  • Experience with COTS technologies used in a Cyber Security Operations Center environment, including network/host IDS and IPS, and SIEM technologies.
  • Expertise in cyber security enterprise scanning and continuous monitoring, enterprise host/network security, and intrusion detection.
  • Expertise with cyber security architectural principles, such as defense in depth, resilience, and integrated security operations.
  • Ability to convert functional cyber security requirements into system requirements.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to interact with various levels of senior management.
  • Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Workstation operating systems, as well as virtualization technologies like VMware.
  • Hands-on Windows engineering experience, including designing, building, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience applying and working with Windows Group Policy Objectives (GPOs).
  • Experience with various security tools, such as Nessus, HBSS, Splunk, etc.
  • Experience working with Windows Domain structures.
  • Systems integration and troubleshooting experience.
  • Build and configuration management experience, including patch management.
  • Creative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to remain on task, be self-motivated, and be a strong communicator.
  • Familiarity with cloud technology (AWS, MS Azure, Oracle, etc.).
Security Clearance Requirements
  • Must possess an active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
