Senior Accountant Job Description

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for performing accounting functions for multiple divisions under one company group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare month-end close procedures and develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Lead the integration of new accounting systems and ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording and verifying transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, weekly, daily, and ad-hoc management reports and assist with audits and tax returns.
  • Oversee Sales/Accounts Receivable and Revenue Recognition and provide leadership and support for the Billing Department shared service center.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • 1-2 years of public accounting experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct accounting system and knowledge of revenue recognition accounting principles, processes, and procedures.
  • Excellent Word and Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
