About the Role

Crown Technical Systems is seeking a skilled Switchgear Assembler 1 to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling fabricated metal parts for switchgear cabinets according to specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze various blueprints, diagrams, drawings, procedures, and work instructions to complete assemblies for enclosure buildings.
  • Perform mechanical assembly of components for switchgear cabinets.
  • Operate various power tools and hand tools to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to confirm that assembled products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Identify any product defects, record, and report them accordingly.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of necessary supplies, tools, and parts in the work station.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform work accurately.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, equipment maintenance, and safety management.
  • Reading comprehension skills with the ability to interpret and follow written directions, blueprints, wiring drawings, schematics, and engineering diagrams.
  • Basic math skills to meet technical specifications and measurements.
  • Basic understanding of tools, such as tape measures, impact drills, etc.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with the ability to safely operate powered equipment, such as forklifts, reach trucks, scissors lifts, overhead cranes, etc.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and performing repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to lift, push, pull up to 35 pounds at a time.
  • Manual dexterity to assemble products or machines as directed.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
  • Must wear PPE, such as gloves, safety glasses, hard hat, and ear protection, while working on the production floor.
Compensation

The salary for this position is $16.00-$18.50/Hourly, plus a $1.00/hour shift differential for working the 2nd shift.
